      3. You will give a 1-minute presentation on Success
        1. Include the definition of Success, as well as about 20 seconds describing more what Success is all about, using some other words from the handout that describes them in a little more detail.

        3. Your end-product will be a 1-minute presentation that gives the definition of Success, along with some other words describing Success, and the definition of Ease or Grace
e.g.  Success is doing what you said you would do, consistently, with clarity, focus, ease, and grace + 20 seconds of success description + Ease or Grace
      4. You will give this 1 minute presentation in class tomorrow. You do not have to memorize it.  You can prepare any notes to refer to during your presentation.

Next steps:

Homework (due March 26th):

  1. Practice 3 minutes of Point of Mastery (details below)

  2. Create something that will reward you for doing the POM practice recording

Practice Assignment:

There are many ways to present Point of Mastery.  We encourage you to rewatch this week’s webinar and see what you notice about the different “angles” Maria approached this powerful principle.

In addition, please watch this webinar that Maria led a few years ago, introducing the Point of Mastery to the CTP community for the first time.

For your next practice assignment, please learn this roughly 3 minute section of the webinar from 26:10-29:36 (excluding a short segment from 28:29-28:44 where Maria is talking to Josh about logistics).

You know the drill.  Practice it in the mirror 20 times, and then record yourself presenting.  Add the link to your video practice spreadsheet.

There are many 3 minute segments we could have chosen to practice for Point of Mastery.  Look for yourself.  Why did we choose this particular segment?

What are you learning out of this 3 minute segment that will help you become a masterful Licensed Academy Trainer?

Reminders:

  1. Post your takeaways, questions, and next steps on our LAT 2025 Slack Channel.

  2. Bring your questions to your next Mentor Group session.

  3. Our next webinar will be: Wednesday, April 2nd, 9am – 11am Pacific

  • Practice the approximately 5 minute segment where Dr. Maria gives the “Sylvia Story” 20x.  You may make minor adjustments to the “script” in order for it to feel natural to deliver, as long as the content remains precise.  However, this is still imitation.  Before making any small changes, ask “What was Maria seeing that had her say it in this way?  How was she being?”
  • Upload the recording to your practice spreadsheet and review with your mentor group
Additional resources on the 4-Box Model:
